Ireland South Coast

James Fort on this side, sits on top of the hill behind the town of Kinsale amidst a sea of green grass. The Fort was built following the Battle of Kinsale in 1602. It is a pentagonal bastioned fort enclosed by a rampart of earth, an inner stone citadel, a gatehouse and drawbridge.
